Also now a production piece, this stool design provides an opportunity to employ a number of different joints at their optimum usefulness.  Hand sculpted and robust, these reversible stools have different foot-rest locations on either side, accommodating stool-sitters of varying sizes.  Shown here in walnut.  . Available in table, counter, and bar height.  

Thanks to the wonderful architects at Alterstudio who designed this kitchen, I was fortunate to be recommended for this project as cabinetmaker.  Normally I do not provide counter tops and finish hardware, but because of the tightly nested design, I engineered and supervised the fabrication and installation of all stone & stainless steel counter tops/backsplash and stainless finish hardware.

This is an Anderson/Wise project that we worked on over the course of 1 1/2 years.  We did all the ornamental and architectural metalwork in the home as well as some structural steel retaining walls that elevated the backyard 4' above the adjacent yards to allow for installation of an ingound pool.  Some of the a work that we are most proud of is the cantilevered garage awning, the outdoor fireplace,  the simple curved handrail and the front fencing with custom pedestrian and driveway gates.  The fencing panels were recycled from a church in Pennsylvania and were made from wrought iron, a material which has not been produced for almost 100 years.  The fence panels date back to the 1870's.

Custom made "primordial soup" backsplash tile finished off this kitchen quite nicely.

I had a lot of fun co-designing the backsplash and then inlaying some of the selected tiles into the counters.

This historic stone home was remodeled in the early 90's 

Our team built cabinets shelving nooks decks furniture and more during this year long renovation.

Latest kitchen project started in June with sketches and plans, then 40 days in July and August, during the longest hottest 

part of the summer in the workshop.....truely an ordeal.   Finally after five months, the kitchen is a fabulous addition to Jim's Family atmosphere.
