Mark Macek founded Macek Furniture Company in 1995 as a happy merger between his training in architecture and his devotion to fine craftsmanship. Mark teaches woodworking and furniture design at the University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture.
Working with Mark is like fishing with a good fisherman. His technical knowledge of wood is the equivalent of someone who knows where the fish are. Also, he is a purist.
