Suttles Shah Door
This door was designed and commissioned by Alterstudio Architects for a new house. The entire residence is low-key, modern, and solid.
Molly’s TV Cabinet
Molly needed a TV cabinet that also housed the stereo speakers, DVD player, and cable box. We both wanted the speakers contained, so they were integrated into the cabinet behind white speaker grille cloth. The handles are cocobolo wood with bronze stand-offs by Hawkeye.
Gensler Dining Table
International architecture firm Gensler opened a new office in Austin, TX at the W Hotel. I met Lance Yeary of Gensler at the East Austin Studio Tour in 2010, where he saw a massive walnut slab at my shop. His firm immediately commissioned this table. Maryanna Drive Kitchen
Thanks to the wonderful architects at Alterstudio who designed this kitchen, I was fortunate to be recommended for this project as cabinetmaker. Normally I do not provide counter tops and finish hardware, but because of the tightly nested design, I engineered and supervised the fabrication and installation of all stone & stainless steel counter tops/backsplash and stainless finish hardware.
Fused handle
Fused stacked 1.25" thick glass presented by forged steel brackets is a door handle on a stunning 5'x8' ipe door.
Vivo wall
Kiln cast plate glass in a forged steel armature serve as privacy screen and signage for this restaurant.
Bickerstaff chandelier
Fused glass "petals" are suspended beneath an organic forged steel plate with LD lighting above.
Vivo Chocolato chandelier
The fused glass in the chandelier is reminiscent of cacao pods for this chocolate inspired restaurant.
